St. John United Church of Christ combines the best of tradition with innovation.

*First Service:  Renew Celebration (Sundays 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.) is our contemporary worship experience.

Reverend Larry Hoxey and his wife Cynthia lead participants in stimulating discussion, accompanied by music, coffee and tea, and fantastic fellowship.  We use PowerPoint to help drive discussion.

*Second Service:  St. John’s second service (Sundays 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.) is our more traditional experience with a blended mix of cherished hymns and varied musical talent.

Larry’s message is just as engaging, and the more liturgical of the second service helps people connect with God using familiar worship.

*St. John offers you legendary hospitality combined with total faith-freedom, guided by God’s marvelous love. We welcome everyone, no matter your age, wage or stage.

*Love is our creed and confession. God is love and there’s nothing greater than love. In the New Testament book of Mark (chapter 12:verses 29-34), Jesus gave us the greatest message in the entire Judeo-Christian tradition, that we should love God with our heart, soul, mind & strength and that we should love others as ourselves.

*The message of love is what God most wants, it summarizes our human purpose, and renders everything else as secondary. Denominations, churches, and people get into trouble when anything else is substituted for love. We are here to receive and share God’s love.

*One of the neatest aspects of our church is the concept of responsible freedom, that each of us can become whatever God is calling us to achieve. We are here to help you accomplish a better life every day and in every way.

*The ancestral model of church is in transition. That’s why St. John is in the midst of a revitalization. We are adapting to the needs of our local community and the beautiful people who comprise it.

*We need you! Everyone has positives and negatives to deal with. We’re here to help you share your strengths, develop new ones, and even to turn challenges and weaknesses into blessings.
