Renew is the personal faith-building program at St. John’s United Church of Christ.
God + You = Renew
Renew is a formula for spiritual renewal, and it’s about connecting with God for the best life possible. Renew is a revitalizing Christian ministry aimed for holistic health. Renew will assist you at home, at work, and in all your relationships, overcoming whatever stands between you and the transforming power of God’s love.
The times are a changin’, and so also are the people desiring to thrive amid life’s obstacles. Renew overcomes barriers while sharing God’s love and truth from many sources. Come and share with people who care. Here are the three current forms of Renew:
1. Renew Celebration (Sundays 9-10 a.m.) is our contemporary worship experience. Reverend Larry Hoxey and his wife Cynthia lead participants in stimulating discussion, accompanied by music, coffee and tea, and fantastic fellowship.
2. Renew Review (Tuesdays 11-noon) continues discussion about topics from that past week’s Renew Celebration and Renew Seminar.
3. Renew Seminar (Thursdays 6-7 p.m.)
is a time for instruction and lively sharing. Renew Seminar examines what it means to engage God’s Spirit in daily life and how to cultivate a more meaningful spirituality.
All Renew sessions involve sharing and caring, by people like you desiring spiritual, social, intellectual, and physical health. Come join us at St. John’s and help us to help you. You’ll discover that we’re a love-centered church where you’ll grow in marvelous new ways.

The people of St. John are on the move, reinventing what it means to be a 21st century church. Not “oldline,” St. John’s is splendidly “streamline,” a church that practices a “Both/And” approach with deep, meaningful traditions alongside innovative worship. This is how we remain Both true to our roots And relevant to modern culture. Regardless of your style, we’ll help you transcend denominational boundaries to attain a renewed life.
“We DO it!” The people of St. John United Church of Christ “DO” it, where the “D” is discipleship (partnering with God to make stronger Christians) and the “O” is outreach (partnering with God to make new Christians). We pledge to help you achieve all that God is calling you to accomplish.
Stay-tuned for further enhancements as we may restart Reverend Hoxey’s signature Yo-Go class of stretching, pilates, and Yoga.
